Job Description

Job Overview Warehouse Supervisor GB Ferry is seeking a highly efficient, detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee all daily warehouse activities. This role is critical to ensuring accurate cargo management, safe storage practices, and the timely movement of freight through our facility. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating cargo arrival times to ensure shipments are prepared and loaded onto the vessel without delay. The role also includes ensuring that every customer receives the exact service they paid for, with high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and integrity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, staging, and dispatching cargo. Ensure compliance with safety standards, inventory procedures, and company policies. Supervise warehouse staff and manage shift assignments. Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate records in coordination with the operations team. Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and ensure proper maintenance. Coordinate with vessel operations, trucking teams, and the office for seamless cargo flow. Prepare reports on warehouse performance, challenges, and needs. Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications, Requirements & Skills Minimum 2-3 years experience in warehousing, logistics, shipping, or related fields. Proven supervisory or team-lead experience. Strong knowledge of inventory control, cargo handling, and warehouse safety procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, inventory systems).
Pay:
$30.23 - $36.40 per hour
