5:00AM-3:30PM, Mon-Fri Westaff is hiring a Bilingual Packing Lead Assistant for a manufacturing client. If you have manufacturing experience, communicate fluently in English and Spanish, and enjoy helping coworkers learn the job, this position offers a mix of hands-on packing work, employee training, and daily production support. You'll work alongside the Packing Lead to keep the packing department running smoothly. This includes helping coordinate daily staffing, training new employees, making sure orders are packaged correctly, and covering packing positions during breaks or absences. This is an hourly position reporting to a Supervisor. What You'll Do Assist the Packing Lead with daily staffing assignments and production needs. Provide on-the-job training for new employees and document completed training. Step into packing positions when employees are absent or away for breaks, meetings, or other needs. Develop a thorough understanding of packing procedures and help coworkers follow them correctly. Help ensure orders are assigned and properly packaged. Support a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards, including required personal protective equipment. Support continuous improvement efforts in the packing department. Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Need One to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Fluency in English and Spanish , including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding both languages. A working understanding of manufacturing operations and production processes. The ability to guide team members fairly and effectively. The ability to teach employees current and new work procedures. Clear communication skills and the ability to handle workplace disagreements respectfully. A strong understanding of workplace safety rules. The ability to stay motivated and follow through on assigned work. Physical and Safety Requirements Lift up to 25 pounds without assistance; use assistance for heavier items. Wear personal protective equipment when required. Follow established safety and housekeeping procedures.
