Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Inbound Specialist to oversee and optimize our inbound logistics operations within our distribution center. This pivotal role involves managing the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials, ensuring seamless coordination with warehouse teams and external partners. Duties Supervise daily inbound activities, including receiving, unloading, and inspecting shipments using warehouse management systems and RF scanners. Coordinate with suppliers, 3PL providers, and internal teams to schedule deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods. Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and reduce discrepancies through regular cycle counts. Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline inbound workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency using lean management principles. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to OSHA standards. Manage team performance through effective managerial communication, training, and motivation to meet operational goals. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all warehouse activities. Collaborate with shipping & receiving teams to synchronize inbound and outbound logistics for optimal distribution center operations. Utilize inventory management systems and warehouse management software for accurate data entry, reporting, and analysis. Support the implementation of new logistics strategies to improve throughput in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, or supply chain management with a focus on inbound operations. Demonstrated leadership in warehouse supervisor roles or team management within distribution centers. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and related software such as Microsoft Office. Skilled in the operation of forklift and other heavy lifting equipment with relevant certifications preferred. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like lean management or Six Sigma is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for managerial oversight and cross-functional collaboration. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices. Experience working with materials handling equipment operation, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL logistics providers.
