Oversee trailer unloading, pallet scanning, and cross-dock distribution for local and regional freight.Team Leadership:
Guide and mentor temporary pickers/sorters, set up scanner workstations ahead of shifts, and troubleshoot mis-racked packages.Labor Management:
Monitor daily volume metrics to adjust labor efficiently and eliminate wasted spend.Process Discipline:
Enforce safety and standard operating procedures (SOPs) using structured daily checklists. What We're Looking For 3+Years Experience:
Background in warehouse leadership, cross-docking, or parcel distribution.Hands-On Approach:
Able to walk the floor, lift/stage freight, and work alongside your team during 12-hour shifts.Tech & Metric Savvy:
Comfortable with handheld scanners, WMS software, and data-driven staffing decisions.salary:

High SchoolResponsibilities Inbound & Outbound Logistics:
Lead trailer unloading operations, scan incoming pallets, and manage package distribution. Ensure proper routing of pallets staying locally versus those loading onto regional outbound trailers.Package Handling & Staging:
Hands-on scanning and sorting of packages onto designated driver racks; resolve mis-racked or misrouted items immediately.Equipment & Shift Readiness:
Prepare scanning hardware, equipment, and workstations ahead of temporary shift start times to maximize labor efficiency from minute one.Team Leadership & Labor Control:
Supervise temporary pickers and sorters. Actively monitor throughput numbers, track labor ratios, and make dynamic staffing adjustments (cutting labor when volume drops) to control operational costs.Process & Checklist Adherence:
Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and verify that all daily operational checklists are completed meticulously without shortcutting steps.Scheduling & Workforce Planning:
