About Quality Warehouse & Distribution Quality Warehouse & Distribution is a full-service warehousing, transportation, and logistics company based in Edison, New Jersey. We provide warehousing, inventory management, truck and container loading and unloading, port drayage, transportation, and railcar loading and unloading services for a variety of customers and products. Our operations include handling everything from palletized freight and plywood to large paper rolls requiring specialized clamp equipment. We are a hands-on, growing operation led by owners who work directly alongside the team. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Operations Lead to help lead the day-to-day execution of our warehouse operations in Edison. This is a working lead position, not a desk-based management role. You will help lead and coordinate the daily work of warehouse associates while also working alongside the crew. You will operate forklifts and clamp trucks, help manage inventory, use technology to support the operation, and make sure inbound and outbound shipments are completed safely, accurately, and on time. A major part of this role will be taking day-to-day ownership of one of our key customer programs involving the handling and movement of paper rolls by rail, container, and truck. This position is a great fit for an experienced warehouse operator who has leadership experience and is ready to take on more responsibility. What You'll Do Lead and coordinate the daily work of warehouse associates. Help organize the crew and daily workflow based on inbound and outbound priorities. Take day-to-day ownership of the execution of a key customer program. Operate forklifts and paper roll clamp trucks. Load and unload trucks, containers, and railcars. Receive, stage, store, and prepare customer inventory for shipment. Maintain accurate inventory and ensure products are properly identified and handled. Use technology and systems including our warehouse management system (WMS), Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, email, and other digital tools to support daily operations. Communicate professionally with warehouse management, customer service, drivers, and customers. Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies, damages, operational issues, and safety concerns. Help coach warehouse associates and reinforce company procedures, safety standards, and expectations. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse. Support other warehouse and operational needs as required. What We're Looking For Previous experience leading or directing employees in a warehouse environment. Strong forklift and clamp truck operating experience. Forklift and clamp truck certification, or ability to successfully complete our equipment certification process. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Comfortable using computers, warehouse systems, Excel, email, and other technology. Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to lead a crew while still working hands-on alongside them. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Dependable, accountable, safety focused, and willing to take ownership. Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English for work instructions, safety procedures, customer communication, and daily team coordination. Compensation & Schedule $25.00 - $27.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications. Monday-Friday, generally 7:30 AM-4:00 PM. Overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Edison, New Jersey .
