Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Receiving Supervisor to maintain our warehouse receiving operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and accurately. Tagging of all product and placing product out to retail shelve. Product includes groceries, dietary supplements, vitamins, cosmetics, frozen and refrigerated goods. The ideal candidate will bring good communication skills, a solid understanding of warehouse processes, and experience with inventory control systems. Your role is crucial in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, supporting process improvement initiatives, and ensuring safety standards are met. Responsibilities Supervise daily receiving activities, including unloading shipments, tagging product and place to shelves or direct other workers as needed. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to verify shipment accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Make certain retail staff place product to shelves correctly, providing guidance on warehouse operations, safety procedures, and best practices in inventory management. Implement process improvements to optimize receiving workflows, reduce errors, and enhance overall efficiency. Maintain accurate records of received goods using warehouse management systems we have in place and inventory management systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards during all material handling activities. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse receiving and scanning or tagging merchandise, with a focus on receiving and also shipping packages to our customers. Previous warehouse supervisor or team management experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of inventory control techniques and warehouse management, tagging, scanning is preferred. Skilled in operating material handling equipment such as scales, shipping systems, dollies, scanners safely and efficiently. Must be able to bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with good management principles and process improvement strategies. Excellent communication skills for managerial communication and team leadership. Ability to perform proper lifting and handle materials safely using appropriate equipment.
