Starting at $25.00/hour (higher depending on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and organized Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support a busy steel fabrication operation. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are received, staged, and shipped safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Maintain daily and future shipping and receiving schedules. Coordinate with production teams to ensure materials are complete, properly identified, staged, and ready for shipment. Prepare and verify bills of lading, delivery tickets, packing lists, load lists, and shipping documentation. Receive incoming materials and verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips. Document and communicate shortages, damaged materials, incorrect shipments, and delivery issues. Enter shipping and receiving information into ERP or inventory systems while maintaining accurate records. Coordinate safe loading and unloading activities with drivers and warehouse personnel. Maintain organized staging, storage, and traffic areas. Support inventory accuracy and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce delays and material handling costs. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehousing, material control, manufacturing, construction, or a related field. Experience working with purchase orders, bills of lading, packing lists, delivery documents, and material identification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry, and ERP, inventory, or logistics systems. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production schedules. Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail. Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment, including both indoor and outdoor work areas. Preferred Qualifications Experience in structural steel fabrication, heavy manufacturing, or construction materials. Experience with Tekla PowerFab or similar ERP, MRP, inventory, or transportation management systems. Familiarity with load planning, material traceability, fabricated-piece identification, and delivery sequencing. Forklift, overhead crane, rigging, or other material-handling experience. Work Environment This is a full-time, on-site position based in Hanover, PA. The role requires working in an office, fabrication shop, loading areas, and outdoor yard. Early start times, schedule adjustments, and occasional overtime may be required to support shipping and receiving operations. Candidates should be able to move throughout shop and yard areas and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Why Join Us?
