Duties Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure timely and accurate operations. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing clear guidance, managerial communication, and ongoing training to enhance team performance. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and RF scanners to track stock levels, process orders, and maintain accurate records. Coordinate the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently in compliance with OSHA standards. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and boost overall productivity. Oversee compliance with safety protocols related to heavy lifting, forklift operation, OSHA regulations, and general warehouse safety procedures. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels using tools like AS400 and other inventory control systems to prevent discrepancies and support inventory accuracy. Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring timely dispatches and deliveries aligned with distribution center operations. Experience Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management within a distribution center environment. Strong background in warehouse distribution processes, logistics coordination, and inventory management systems such as AS400 or equivalent platforms. Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts and RF scanners. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with excellent managerial communication skills and team leadership qualities. Familiarity with lean management techniques and process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing warehouse operations. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse activities including heavy lifting and equipment operation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes. Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory management tools is highly desirable.
