If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, order fulfillment, inventory control, process management, and shift coordination, and you thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact. This position oversees all shipping operations across multiple shifts and has direct leadership responsibility for a team of hourly associates and a second-shift supervisor. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of daily shipping operations. Supervise and coordinate outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of both product and documentation. Ensure warehouse space is utilized effectively and maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Mentor and develop team members on proper shipping procedures and best practices. Communicate with shipping clerks, headquarters, and drivers regarding shipment status and schedule changes. Research and resolve issues involving purchase orders, shipping documents, and freight discrepancies. Ensure all shipping documentation, freight claims, and correspondence are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Promote safe work practices and proactively address safety concerns. Establish and communicate performance expectations for associates. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. Conduct coaching, counseling, performance reviews, and employee development activities. Partner in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new associates. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for a team of hourly associates and a second-shift supervisor. Participate in regular communication and meetings of branch leadership to coordinate activities across shifts and support overall operational goals. Qualifications 3-5+ years of management experience in a supply chain, warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment. Proven experience leading teams in a high-volume shipping or distribution operation. WMS and LMS experience strongly preferred. Understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop associates. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management technology. At Ferguson, we care for each other. - $4,331.70
- $9,529.30
- Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
- This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
- Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
