A Warehouse Team Leader manages daily, on-the-floor operations, supervising staff to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. Key responsibilities include training team members, tracking inventory accuracy, managing workflow to meet KPIs, and maintaining safety compliance. They act as a bridge between warehouse staff and management.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and schedule warehouse associates to optimize performance and meet operational targets.
Operational Oversight:
Oversee daily activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Inventory Control:
Perform inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce health and safety regulations, such as OSHA compliance, and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners are in proper working order. Communicate with drivers : Such as asking for PO #'s and giving them a dock. Printing BOL's and Packing slips. Receiving loads - verify BOL # . Book items in stock/printing labels.
Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Previous experience as a warehouse team lead or similar supervisory role (often 3-5+ years).
Technical Skills:
Proficient with WMS software, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office.
Equipment Operation:
Valid forklift license and experience operating material handling equipment.
Soft Skills:
