This role involves the safe and efficient handling, loading, unloading, and movement of materials within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse distribution, order picking, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling. Prior experience with warehouse management systems and OSHA safety standards is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and develop skills in warehouse operations, including the use of RF scanners, forklifts, and cranes. Responsibilities Load and unload shipments using forklifts and cranes while adhering to safety protocols. Pick and process orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems. Move materials efficiently within the warehouse for shipping, receiving, and storage purposes. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and other mechanical tools safely and effectively. Assist in inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining accurate records of materials handled. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards during all material handling activities. Support shipping & receiving operations by preparing items for dispatch or receipt. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling is preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes is highly desirable. Familiarity with order picking processes using RF scanners or similar technology. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations. Background in construction or mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required. Previous roles involving shipping & receiving or warehouse management systems are advantageous. Experience with heavy lifting and the use of pallet jacks or other manual handling tools is essential. This position requires a proactive individual capable of working safely in a physically demanding environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all tasks performed.
