Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler FL, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate handling, loading, unloading, and inventory management of materials using a variety of heavy equipment and manual techniques. Your proactive approach will ensure that shipments are processed promptly, stock levels are maintained accurately, and safety protocols are strictly followed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, precision, and safety. Responsibilities Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and RF scanners to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using pickers and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Load and unload trucks safely by adhering to OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and stacking to organize inventory in designated areas. Manage inventory levels through accurate stock counting, cycle counting, and updating warehouse management systems. Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following safety procedures and ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Support warehouse operations by participating in regular safety audits, equipment inspections, and adhering to all OSHA regulations. Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Experience with inventory management systems and RF scanners for order picking and stock control. Knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving processes, materials handling techniques, and manual handling procedures. Familiarity with safety protocols related to OSHA standards for heavy equipment operation and construction site safety is a plus. Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not required. Mechanical knowledge or construction experience can be beneficial for understanding equipment maintenance or troubleshooting issues.
