The Material Handler I is responsible for handling ready-to-install glass components used in shower door production. This role involves inspecting, buffing, sorting, labeling, and transporting glass materials throughout the facility. While the primary duties are outlined below, employees may be cross-trained to support other functions within the department as needed Please note: This position does not involve forklift operation. The typical shift for this role is 7am-3pm, Monday
  • Friday.
Overtime or a Saturday shift may be assigned as needed. Key Responsibilities Inspect glass for defects or imperfections and use a buffing tool to correct issues as needed. Measure materials using a tape measure to verify dimensions against labels and work orders. Accurately sort and organize products according to production requirements and work orders. Safely transport materials to various areas within the facility while following all safety protocols. Qualifications Ability to read and interpret detailed material labels and work orders. Willingness and ability to learn how to safely operate a buffing tool. Proficiency with (or ability to learn) using a tape measure, including reading decimals and fractions.
