General Laborer Job Description This role involves constructing and assembling various components of residential properties, including walls, roofs, and interior elements. The position requires the ability to frame walls, install drywall, set cabinets, and handle plumbing tasks. Additionally, the role includes roofing responsibilities, such as cutting and pressing roof trusses, installing shingles, vents, windows, and doors, as well as painting both exterior and interior surfaces. Quality assurance is an integral part of this position, ensuring each phase of construction meets the highest standards. Responsibilities Frame interior and exterior walls and insulate where necessary. Glue and staple drywall, lift off table, and install on floor. Set cabinets in place and hook up all plumbing. Cut and press roof trusses, lay out drywall, and load rafter. Seal trusses to drywall, lift with crane, and move to pit. Mud seams and apply vapor barrier. Lift roof and set on decking and roofing paper. Install windows, doors, trim, shingles, and vents on roofs. Paint exterior and interior of the house. Tape and mud corners and joints, spray texture on walls, and clean up. Inspect house during all phases of construction and monitor quality processes. Complete paperwork, measure unit dimensions, and ensure all tags are on units. Essential Skills Experience with construction and carpentry. Proficiency in using power and hand tools. Ability to install, tape measure, and handle drywall and concrete tasks. Skill in painting, taping, and trimming carpentry. Knowledge of roofing and texture application. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum experience with tape measure required. Capability to complete a tape measure test. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
