Position Summary:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for carrying out all warehouse activities as directed, including inventory movement and shipping activities. Functions include stocking, picking and staging orders, loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently, and maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. This position will be cross-trained in all functions of the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse duties to support the team where needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow safety policies and protocols; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
• Uphold highest standards of food safety and product quality through observance of allergen protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices; promptly report food safety and quality issues as necessary
• Pick, pack, prepare, and stage orders accurately and efficiently for timely shipment, ensuring the highest quality standards.
• Safely load/unload trailers ensuring weight distribution and load integrity, in accordance with company and customer standards
• Assure finished goods are located and slotted properly in warehouse
• Follow verbal and written procedures and SOPs, and record alphanumeric data as necessary
• Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and organization of stock.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
• Assist with unloading of Finished Goods from the production facilities
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all items are stored in their proper locations, performing light janitorial tasks as needed

• Perform other assigned tasks, as needed
• Regular attendance and punctuality are a necessary requirement of this position

Marginal Duties Performed Less Frequently:

• Learn and understand established metrics for department success
• Work overtime occasionally, as needed
• Assist with other areas in Warehouse, including receiving, material handling and ecommerce fulfillment

Qualification Summary:

• Ability to operate forklift (sit-down and stand-up), hand truck, pallet jack & other warehouse equipment preferred
• Previous warehousing, manufacturing and/or food handling experience
• Proficient computer skills-Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), and ERP systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to actively identify and prioritize work responsibilities
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working collaboratively within small and large, diverse teams, as well as ability to work independently
• Comfortable with fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Reliable and diligent with the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards at all times.
• Self-driven and hard-working team player who is able to actively identify and prioritize work responsibilities Education /

Experience Desired:

• 1 year warehouse experience preferred
• Experience operating RF Scanners preferred
• HS Diploma or equivalent

Language/Mathematical/Reasoning Ability:

• Must have fluent ability to understand, read, write, and speak English, clearly and effectively
• Must be able to follow documented procedures, may be written in English only
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an asset
• May be asked to use simple mathematic equations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)
• Basic mathematical skills in weights, temperatures, times and general numbers

Supervision Given:

• This position reports to the Warehouse and Shipping Supervisors
• The position holder is expected to be able to work with minimal oversight at times, able to confidently handle situations on their own

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to have the ability to drive a motor vehicle, and communicate using a telephone and two-way device.

• Ability to operate hand and powered tools
