ORDER BUILDER
Job Summary:
Customer order information is received by the Order Builder through the use of an RF scanner that provides bin location and specific material required to be physically pulled from inventory and palletized to be delivered to QA and shipped.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Order Building:
Build orders according to assigned electronic tickets using forklifts and Inventory Warehouse Management System (IWMS) to complete orders via hand held devices. Meeting order building productivity requirements. Stage completed orders in designated area. Pull and prepare ensuring exact number and type of product is shipped.
Safe Workplace:
Practice safe working technics while performing duties. Maintain all equipment and materials in a clean, neat and orderly work area. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following IWT prescribed work methods and warehouse work rules. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with all OSHA and MSDS requirements.
Efficient Workplace:
Efficiently stack and store all products in the appropriate areas. On a daily basis, inspect and document forklift inspections.
Quality:
Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets or exceeds customer service standards.
Security/Cleanliness:
Assist in maintaining the security and cleanliness in all areas of the warehouse.
Forklift Operations:
Use forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. Responsible to complete a daily inspection of the forklift prior to use. Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action or suggest courses of action which may be taken to achieve favorable resolutions. Represent the cores values and policies of the company. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Prior forklift experience required. Knowledge of Inventory Warehouse Management System (IWMS) and handheld devices desired. A positive attitude is required. Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, a stressful environment. Works well with management, peers and subordinates. Ability to communicate and conduct themselves professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts at all times. Ability to lift heavy objects 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able bend, stoop, stand and sit for long periods of time. Must be comfortable to work in an environment that has machinery noise, dust and heat from the outside weather.
Hours:
11:00 am - 7:30 pm or until completion
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of experience in related field of expertise is preferred.
