Job Description
Job Summary Responsibilities will include loading semi-trailers, packing and unpacking, general housekeeping, inbound processing, shipping, and receiving. In order to perform the job duties of this position, the operation of powered equipment such as a forklift or hydraulic jack lift is essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Record information according to instructions Load/unload trucks with pallets of shell eggs, cartons, and boxes for the shell eggs Check paperwork before unloading, counting all items to make sure they match the paperwork Inspect all items for damage and report any damage immediately Keep coolers, dock, and warehouse clean and organized (wash trucks, sweep floors, etc.) Ensure all pallets and racks are wrapped securely When palletizing the cases, ensure that the cases are correctly dated and closed Follow all company rules and regulations for biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety Maintain a safe and clean working environment Work productively in a team environment and assist in any areas or operations as assigned Organize and prioritize responsibilities to ensure efficient operations Attend meetings, training, and educational classes as required Responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the company Perform all other duties as assigned Job Requirements Able to follow spoken and written instructions in English Reliable and dependable work ethic Some general warehouse and warehousing procedures experience preferred Experience in a food processing plant preferred Forklift experience (Sit down/Stand up) preferred Proficient with electronic pallet jacks Experience loading pallets on semi-trailers Ability to fill out load sheets and invoices correctly Able to perform all aspects of this job (repetitive movements, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds Able to work a flexible schedule, which will include weekends, holidays, and extended hours Bi-lingual Spanish speaking skills a plus
