Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate and manage equipment such as pay loaders, rail movers, skid loaders, and yard trucks to load and unload rail cars, trucks, and bulk materials.
• Follow standard operating procedures to safely troubleshoot plant equipment and perform inspections of rail cars and bulk storage areas.
• Assist with fundamental plant housekeeping duties, including sweeping, dusting, and outdoor grounds maintenance like mowing and snow removal.
• Monitor inventory levels through accurate measurements and readings, ensuring proper documentation for logistics and billing.
• Support safety protocols by wearing PPE (ear plugs, hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe work boots) and adhering to safety procedures during all tasks.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance and logistics teams to report issues and coordinate operational activities.
• Participate in confined space entries, use hand tools, and operate powered equipment safely to support continuous plant operation.
• Perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs., shoveling, and working in outdoor and indoor environments with exposure to noise, dust, and extreme temperatures.
• Work a 12-hour rotating shift with mandatory overtime as required, ensuring on-site presence during day and night hours.

Material Handler Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly, stand and walk for extended periods, and work at heights up to 150 feet.
• Must have the physical capability to perform strenuous activities and operate various equipment safely.
• No prior experience necessary; material handling experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills are essential.
