Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace. Responsibilities Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks for efficient material handling. Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels using RF scanners and warehouse management systems. Assist in the loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently. Perform picking and packing duties for order fulfillment while adhering to quality standards. Maintain organization within the warehouse by stocking shelves and managing product placement. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols. Participate in regular inventory audits and assist with packaging materials for shipping. Utilize heavy equipment as needed while demonstrating mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting basic issues. Skills Proficient in inventory management practices and warehouse distribution processes. Experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and order pickers. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) including AS400 is a plus. Strong understanding of materials handling techniques and best practices for shipping & receiving. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with stocking and order picking. Previous warehouse experience is preferred along with any supervisory experience in a warehouse setting. Knowledge of packaging requirements for various products and compliance with safety regulations. Mechanical aptitude to assist with equipment maintenance when necessary.
