Job Description

Material Handler -
Motherson DRSC Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring production areas are properly supplied with materials and components in a timely and accurate manner. This role involves handling, organizing, and maintaining inventory, as well as supporting production efficiency through effective material management.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply production lines with materials, components, packaging, and other required items. Ensure production bins are filled with the correct materials in a timely manner. Retrieve parts from the warehouse for production use and verify lot numbers to ensure accuracy. Understand and consistently follow the FIFO (First In, First Out) material handling method. Notify the supervisor when materials are running low to allow for timely reordering. Perform cycle counts and inventory checks for all materials. Report any inventory discrepancies to the supervisor and logistics department. Scan and label finished goods, ensuring product and identification labels match. Move finished goods to proper storage locations or designated areas. Transport materials to and from workstations, the quality inspection area ("quality wall"), and storage locations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including returning tools and materials to designated areas after use.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs periodically. Highly motivated and dependable. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to follow assigned plans and work independently or as part of a team. Must pass a Forklift Certification Test .
