Job Description

GLO Resources is currently hiring a Material Handling and Production Technician to work in Baton Rouge , La . The rate of pay is $18 per hour. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, with potential overtime as needed.
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for transporting, handling, staging, and preparing materials for production and shipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Move, stage, and store materials as directed by crew leaders. Pull and prepare products for shipment to meet delivery schedules. Ensure all materials are handled carefully and remain damage-free during transport. Report any material discrepancies or quality concerns to support accurate inventory. Assist with packing, crating, and loading shipments. Ensure availability of packing materials for outgoing shipments. Build and assemble crates, supports, and other packing materials. Perform finishing work such as surface prep, painting, and touch-ups before shipment. Maintain daily logs and assist with production and packing operations. Perform hydrotesting on piping systems and report any defects. Set up and monitor pressure testing equipment to ensure product integrity. Identify and report leaks, defects, or non-conformities. Collaborate with Quality Control (QC) inspectors to verify and release production. Support workflow planning and assist in maintaining production schedules. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is required. Minimum of 3 years of forklift operating experience required (certification preferred). Familiarity with crating, packaging, and shipment preparation. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and production schedules. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Willingness to work in outdoor or industrial environments as needed. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to follow safety rules and maintain a clean workspace. Valid Driver's License. Background Check is required. Ability to pass a drug screening and physical.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
