Job Description

JACQUET is an established market leader in the distribution of stainless steel and nickel alloys in plate and round bar. Jacquet strives to be the best supplier of stainless steel and nickel cut parts by providing high quality in-house processing. Metals are sold either as-is or cut to made-to-measure sizes using plasma machines, water jets, lasers or saws. Jacquet applications cover many industrial sectors such as the water, environment, energy, mechanical and forged metal construction, chemical and agri-food, gas processing and storage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors. We have four strategically placed locations within the US including Pennsylvania, California, Texas, and Wisconsin with many more globally. We are currently seeking a General Laborer (1st Shift) at our Limerick, PA facility. The 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday, 6am - 2:30pm. Description:
The General Laborer is responsible for a wide variety of tasks to support the service center operations.
Responsibilities:
Material handling (loading and unloading machines, pulling orders, storing rems) Marking parts according to customer order specifications Grinding slag from finished parts Assisting with general maintenance of machines and facility Loading and unloading trucks with forklift Processing and weighing scrap material Assist with inventory accuracy, and locating inventory Measuring and inspecting parts using tape measure and calipers Filling out inspection forms Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by the Operations Manager or the floor supervisor.
Requirements:
Minimum 18 years High School Diploma or Equivalent Ability to read and write English Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and reach Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Experience:
Previous warehouse and material handling experience Mechanical knowledge or background a plus Prior Experience operating a forklift - or willing to be trained
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move, position oneself, ascend/descend and prepare and operate machinery and tools. Employee will need to communicate in loud noise environments and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to activate hand and foot controls for equipment operation and tolerate changes in temperate. Must be able to wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hearing protection and any other necessary PPE.
Pay Range:
$18 - $20 per hour depending upon experience
