About Us:
Adams Complete Cleaning & Restoration is a family-owned restoration company serving Metro Detroit since 2000. We help homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm damage. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Contents and General Labor Technician to join our team.
Position Summary:
This is a hands-on position assisting with the cleaning, packing, moving, inventorying, and restoration of customers' personal belongings following property damage. The technician will also provide general labor support at residential and commercial restoration job sites. Previous restoration experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is reliable, motivated, and ready to work.
Key Responsibilities:
Carefully pack, move, label, and inventory customers' belongings Clean and restore furniture, household items, and personal property Load and unload company vehicles and storage containers Assist with demolition, debris removal, and general job-site cleanup Move furniture, equipment, building materials, and boxed contents Take photographs and document items using a smartphone or tablet Set up and remove drying and restoration equipment Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Follow company safety procedures and instructions from crew leaders Treat customers, their homes, and their belongings with care and respect Clean and organize company vehicles, tools, equipment, and warehouse areas Assist other departments as needed
Qualifications:
Previous restoration, moving, cleaning, warehouse, or construction experience is helpful but not required Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Strong attention to detail and respect for customers' property Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for photographs and documentation Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred Ability to pass applicable background and pre-employment screening Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency assignments
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and climb stairs throughout the workday Comfortable working in varying temperatures and job-site conditions Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment
