Job Description

About Us:
Adams Complete Cleaning & Restoration is a family-owned restoration company that has served Metro Detroit since 2000. We provide 24/7 emergency water, fire, smoke, mold, storm, and property restoration services. We are looking for an experienced, dependable Lead Restoration Technician who takes pride in their work and can confidently lead a crew in the field.
Position Summary:
The Lead Restoration Technician will respond to residential and commercial property losses, oversee job-site operations, and guide technicians through mitigation and restoration. This hands-on leadership position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly in fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm-damage losses Inspect job sites and determine the appropriate mitigation plan Lead technicians and assign daily job-site responsibilities Set up, monitor, document, and remove drying equipment Perform water extraction, demolition, cleaning, and structural drying Complete moisture readings, photographs, notes, and job documentation Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, insurance representatives, and office staff Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Ensure company procedures and industry standards are followed Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule Help train and support newer restoration technicians
Qualifications:
Previous experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, construction, or a related field Experience leading a crew or managing restoration job sites preferred IICRC Water Restoration Technician certification preferred Additional IICRC or industry certifications are a plus Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to pass applicable background and pre-employment screening Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and job-documentation software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be dependable and available for rotating emergency response
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined areas Comfortable working in varying temperatures and job-site conditions Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment
