Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Labor to oversee and coordinate daily operations within our production facility. This role is essential in ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of food production and processing, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. As a key team leader, you will motivate and direct labor teams, enforce safety protocols, and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity. Duties Supervise and lead general labor teams on the production floor, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely Coordinate daily production schedules in alignment with operational goals and quality standards Enforce adherence to FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other regulatory/legal compliance standards Monitor sanitation practices, food safety procedures, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to uphold food safety management protocols Assist in training team members on food processing techniques, safety standards, packaging procedures, and quality assurance practices Support implementation of continuous improvement strategies to enhance manufacturing processes Ensure proper documentation of production activities, including batch records and sanitation logs Collaborate with management to identify areas for process optimization and waste reduction within the food industry context Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards in production and sanitation practices Utilize SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems for inventory management, production tracking, and reporting Skills Proven experience in food processing plant operations or manufacturing management within the food & beverage industry Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, GMP, and food safety management systems Familiarity with quality standards in production and food industry best practices Experience managing production or assembly teams with effective managerial communication skills Ability to apply basic math skills accurately for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments Knowledge of packaging processes relevant to food processing plants Competence in using SAP or similar systems for inventory control and reporting Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and process adherence Commitment to maintaining safety standards in production environments through sanitation and proper equipment handling Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and product quality This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in food production.
