Food Service Warehouse Worker STATUS This position will be filled according to the Civil Service rules by a probationary appointment.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or a High School Equivalency Diploma Eligibility for a New York Operator's License issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles at the time of application for appointment. Possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive deliveries in accordance with established procedures. Store food and supplies in accordance with established procedures. Deliver food and supplies, as ordered, to appropriate storage area in schools. Notify school food service personnel of shortages and/or backorders in their deliveries. Assure that the warehouse is kept clean, and meets all fire, OSHA, and Department of Health standards. Assume responsibility for checking that all delivery vehicles and refrigeration units are kept in clean, safe, working condition, and notify the appropriate authority when repairs and/or maintenance are needed. Operate food service delivery vehicles. Inventories and assists in the storage and care of food, supplies and equipment. Perform related duties as required. SALARY Salary will be determined according to the Food Service Workers' Unit Bargaining Agreement.
