Job Description
Warehouse Associate - Northwest Distribution and Storage Inc. Day Shift available - Monday through Friday About Us Northwest Distribution & Storage has been the foremost wine storage facility in the Pacific Northwest since 1994. We are a secure, licensed and bonded, temperature controlled facility that maintains a constant 58 degrees. Position Summary Responsible for order pulling daily. Prepare documents related to order pulling and pallet tags. Knowledge of general warehouse operations, inventory and forklift experience is essential for this role. This is a full time, 40 hour per week, in person position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include Use handheld devices to accurately locate and pick items based on order slips or digital instructions (S2P). Verify order accuracy by checking customer, varietal, description, vintage, size, and quantity. Ensure stock is properly organized and stored in designated areas for easy access and inventory accuracy. Inspect items for damage or defects before packing. Pack items securely for shipment; wrap pallets, label accurately, and move completed orders to the QC area. Label pallets and cases with correct shipping information. Verify pallet tags are properly placed, accurate, and match the contents and destination of each pallet. Re-stack and consolidate pallets as needed to maintain safety and organization. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and in compliance with protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment, including lane inspections. Complete required documentation, including order forms, logs, and reports.. Keep abreast of current policies and procedures to include safety guidelines. Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times. Able to provide effective and courteous customer service. Ability to make decisions in various situations and receive direction from supervisor in non-routine situations. Ability to use the software system to research on situations related to all customer service. Perform other related tasks as required. Physical Requirements Include Work is usually performed in an office or warehouse environment. Frequently required to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Ability to climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Forklift Experience is required, Forklift Certification is preferred Practical Experience in general warehouse operations Basic Reading, Writing and Mathematics skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Strong prioritization, organization and multitasking skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Good communication Ability to speak effectively before groups of people, including customers and employees of the organization Skilled in safe and efficient operation of equipment and tools Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function for all positions in the organization.
