Material Handler -
Harborcreek, PA Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, proficiency with heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation while developing valuable skills in materials handling and warehouse management. Duties Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA safety standards. Pick and prepare orders accurately utilizing RF scanners and manual methods to meet shipping deadlines. Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move large or heavy materials within the warehouse. Manage inventory levels through precise tracking, cycle counting, and updating inventory management systems. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring proper placement of goods for easy access and storage. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols and best practices for warehouse operations. Support warehouse supervisors in daily tasks, including materials handling, order picking, and equipment maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards through proper manual handling techniques and safety protocol adherence. Participate in regular safety training sessions to promote a secure working environment. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles. Familiarity with warehouse operations including order picking, inventory management, and materials handling. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for manual handling and heavy lifting. Ability to operate RF scanners accurately for order picking and inventory updates. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and inventory counts. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Prior experience in warehouse supervisor roles or managing warehouse workflows is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. This position is integral to maintaining efficient warehouse operations through precise materials handling and safe equipment operation.
