We are searching for a dedicated Warehouse UPS Room Operator to join our team in Clarksville, TN. You will contribute to the efficient flow of goods through our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and a passion for sustainability.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse UPS Room Operator will be responsible for managing the UPS room, overseeing shipping operations, and ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of goods to our customers, while performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions: Operate and oversee the UPS room, managing shipping and receiving processes. Collaborate with warehouse staff to prioritize and prepare shipments for timely dispatch. Utilize UPS systems and equipment to process and label packages accurately. Conduct routine checks on shipping materials and equipment, reporting any issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of shipments in coordination with logistics and inventory teams. Ensure the UPS room is organized and orderly to optimize workflow. Assist in loading and unloading shipments as required. Communicate effectively with carriers to facilitate smooth pick-ups and deliveries. Monitor and report inventory levels of shipping supplies, requesting replenishments as needed. Adheres to all safety regulations, completes all safety training and wears required safety equipment per related safety SOP's. Upholding and adhering to standards of excellence in various areas, including Corporate Governance, Environmental sustainability, Employee well-being, and Community engagement.
COMPETENCIES
Physical Stamina:
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as standing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Critical Thinking:
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Comprehension:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • On-the-job training is provided.
No previous experience is required to perform the job.
OTHER DUTIES
  • Follow company rules and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, attend all required safety training and wear required safety equipment per related safety SOP'S.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
  • Participate in volunteer activities that enhance and serve the communities in which we live and work.
