Hours:
7:00AM - 3:00PM Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler to support production operations by moving, staging, tracking, and handling materials throughout the manufacturing process. This role is critical to maintaining efficient workflow, supporting inventory control, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials to production areas. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of operating material handling equipment safely, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions. Ability to stand, bend, pull, push, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Ability to write routine reports and maintain accurate records. Ability to read digital scales accurately. Basic math skills. Ability to successfully complete required classroom training. Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and cranes to transport materials and support production operations. Provide lifting and transportation services to production machines. Understand product numbers and identify various metals and alloys used in production. Read router line-ups and production documentation to determine upcoming operations and plan material movement efficiently. Follow established procedures for racking and staging materials during all phases of production. Support interdepartmental material flow and maintain accurate records of material movements. Assist with inventory activities, including weighing, ticketing, and tracking raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. Assist with unloading incoming shipments and materials. Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Production Supervisor or Section Leader and submit maintenance requests when needed. Operate forklifts to empty material tubs and transport waste or scrap materials. Participate in housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow instructions and operational guidance from the Section Leader and Production Supervisor to maximize efficiency and support on-time delivery goals. Stage racks, empty carts, collect straps, remove trash, and perform other support tasks when production assistance is not required. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Section Leader or Production Supervisor. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Regular lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 60 pounds. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment and production machinery. Work Environment Manufacturing and warehouse setting. Exposure to lumber, tools, machinery, and typical production-related noise levels.
