Job Description

Position Summary:
The Level 1 Packaging Technician is responsible for preparing for and packaging cider as well as operation of packaging equipment. This position is also responsible for assisting with warehouse logistics and general warehouse duties.
Responsibilities:
Packaging:
Setup, operate, and clean packaging equipment: keg filler, depalletizer, labeler, date code printer, paktech machine, conveyor systems, etc. Prep for and package finished cider into kegs, cans, and bottles Utilize SOPs to determine quantities of packaging materials needed: cans, kegs, boxes, paktechs, labels, lids, pallets, etc.
Assist with:
folding boxes, gathering packaging materials, loading cans on to depalletizer, hooking up transfer hose to packaging tank, pressurizing packaging tank, swapping out can pallets on the depalletizer during run Operate keg washer and palletize clean kegs Break-down and clean packaging equipment and warehouse space
Logistics:
Receive and log inbound shipments and notify appropriate channels Preparation of outbound shipments Build pallets for orders Wrap pallets with the pallet wrapper Document product date codes accordingly Assist with weekly taproom product transfers
Warehouse & Equipment:
Organize pallets and materials on the warehouse floor Maintain clean, orderly, and safe warehouse General equipment maintenance and repair (with support from Level 2 Technician or Operator) Building & grounds maintenance as needed Cross-training on various production roles and supporting the business as needed
Qualifications:
Ability to problem-solve Attention to detail and complete follow-through Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure Ability to work independently as well as a team member
Technical Skills:
Manufacturing experience - craft beverage manufacturing experience is a plus Experience operating packaging equipment Ability to read and write emails, complete forms, and effectively communicate through company communication softwares
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate with others in person and via email

From $20.00 per hour
