Job Title:
Warehouse Worker Job Description The warehouse worker assembles complex structures, support components, and sub-assemblies using drawings and blueprints, primarily for construction-related projects such as structures, railings, cables, and framing. This role supports a busy manufacturing operation that produces a wide range of products and offers opportunities to learn additional fabrication skills over time. Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to ensure assemblies are built accurately and according to specifications. Assemble complex structures, support components, and sub-assemblies for construction projects, including railings, cables, framing, and related structures. Use tape measures to take precise measurements and verify dimensions during assembly. Operate hand tools and power tools such as drills and saws to cut, shape, and assemble materials. Assist in general shop helper duties to support daily manufacturing operations. Contribute to woodworking and fabrication tasks as needed to complete production orders. Inspect assembled components for quality, accuracy, and alignment with design requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency in the shop. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints to ensure correct assembly. Proficiency using a tape measure for accurate measurements. Experience working with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and similar tools. Experience using power tools, including drills and saws, in a shop or construction environment. Ability to assemble complex structures and sub-assemblies following detailed instructions. Basic woodworking and fabrication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a shop helper or in a similar manufacturing or construction support role. Familiarity with assembling components for construction projects such as railings, cables, and framing. Comfort working with a variety of materials used in manufacturing and fabrication. Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing shop that produces a wide range of products, including park benches, playground equipment, fitness equipment, slides, and trash receptacles for clients nationwide. Work takes place in a back shop environment that is open to the elements, meaning it can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Employees work around standard shop and fabrication equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and woodworking tools, and should be prepared for an active, hands-on, production-focused setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
