Job Description
at QPS Employment Group in Darien, Wisconsin, United States Job Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Machine Operator/General Labor to support the production of stainless steel tank products. This role involves operating metal fabrication equipment, interpreting blueprints, performing quality inspections, and maintaining production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates with experience in industrial manufacturing, machine operation, metal fabrication, or production assembly are encouraged to apply. This is a temporary opportunity in Darien, WI. General Labor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate brake press and turret press machines according to production specifications and safety standards
- Manufacture stainless steel tank components and finished products to quality requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication
- Perform in-process quality inspections and verify product dimensions and specifications
- Use measuring tools to confirm part accuracy and compliance with production standards
- Grind, polish, smooth, and finish stainless steel surfaces and components
- Monitor machine performance throughout the shift and report any issues to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines
General Labor Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, metal fabrication, or industrial experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with team assistance when required
- Comfortable working in a warm or hot industrial environment
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and manual tasks safely
- Manufacturing and production facility
- Exposure to machinery, metal fabrication equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
