Job Description
Job Summary The Summer Fair 4-H Aid will assist with fair preparation, exhibitor materials, awards organization, event coordination, and administrative support for the Jerome County 4-H Program. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work independently, comfortable managing multiple projects, and enjoys working in a fast-paced fair environment. Essential Duties Prepare show totes and project packets with appropriate materials, awards, and ribbons Complete ribbon inventory at the conclusion of all shows Prepare and organize record book folders by club Sort buyer brochures by club Create and organize 4-H/FFA parking passes Design, create, and laminate barn signage Organize award thank-you materials by show and label sponsor addresses Assign sponsors to awards with final approval from the committee and coordinator Design the Award/Fair Sponsor Banner with final approval from the committee and coordinator Print and sort exhibitor numbers by show Enter animal EIDs into FairEntry Organize completed record book score sheets by club Assist with planning and facilitation of Cupcake Wars Enter fair results into FairEntry Coordinate and run the County Rabbit Show Assist with additional summer projects and fair-related tasks as assigned Preferred Skills Basic design experience for signs and banners Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately Ability to work independently and follow directions Comfortable using computers and basic office software Ability to communicate professionally with volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, and staff Experience in 4-H, FFA, fairs, or livestock events preferred but not required Ability to lift and move fair supplies and materials as needed Work Environment & Physical Demands Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions. Occasional lifting, carrying, and setting up event materials and equipment. Evening and weekends, during peak events. To apply Accepting applications until the position is filled.
