Come grow with us! This opportunity is on 3rd Shift; Sunday through Thursday, 10pm to 6:30am. SCOPE The Sanitation Technician keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition performs wet cleans and dry cleans within department. Cleans all floors, walls, windows and railings. Removes all trash throughout the department multiple times per day. Sanitation Technician will establish proficiency in one of the four production departments with cleaning skills in accordance with daily MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) and display proficiencies relating to Standard Operating Procedures in assigned department. Responsible for any other duties assigned by Leads, Supervisors or Managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes safety and conducts him/her in accordance with all safety guidelines at all times. Performs general cleaning and housekeeping in specific areas of the plant (production lines, warehouse, offices and break room) in accordance with the Daily MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule). Service, clean, or supply restrooms and gather/empty trash Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees. Stock all GMP dispensers Remove trash from production and operate the trash compactors and card board balers. Operate and clean all floor scrubbers, foot baths and Charm readers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions Must be able to lift 40 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must have ability to understand oral and written instructions in English Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills Must have the ability to work extended hours while standing Must have good job performance and attendance records #IND2
