Utility Worker I Chesterfield County, VA - 3.5 Chesterfield, VA Job Details Full-time $43,442 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Heavy equipment mechanics Commercial truck driving CDL A Waste treatment plant experience Construction equipment servicing Driver's License Public utility experience Water treatment equipment operation Water treatment equipment maintenance Equipment maintenance Facilities equipment maintenance Wastewater systems Full Job Description High school diploma or GED and one year of experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater collections/water/wastewater treatment facilities and equipment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience in a utility field. Lifting of heavy objects required. Ability to perform light maintenance on heavy equipment. Ability to work overtime as needed to include weekends and holidays. This position requires in-person and onsite work. The position is not remote work eligible. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class "A" required with the ability to obtain tanker endorsement within one year of employment. This position is a federally regulated DOT position and is subject to random drug testing and alcohol testing. The use of medical marijuana for this position is prohibited. Current valid driver's license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
