Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Sewer Jetting Operator and become a vital part of maintaining and enhancing underground water and utility systems. In this role, you will operate specialized jetting equipment to clear blockages in sewer lines, ensuring the smooth flow of water and waste. Your expertise will help prevent backups, protect public health, and support the integrity of essential infrastructure. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive outdoors, excel in heavy equipment operation, and are committed to safety and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Operate sewer jetting trucks equipped with high-pressure water systems to clean and maintain underground pipelines and sewer lines. Conduct utility locating and underground utility assessments to identify potential hazards before starting work. Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on jetting equipment and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance. Assist with construction site activities related to water systems, pipeline installation or repair projects, and underground utility infrastructure upgrades. Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment maintenance logs, safety inspections, and incident reports. Participate in on-call coverage for emergency response situations involving sewer blockages or utility failures. Skills Familiarity with water systems, underground utilities, pipeline construction, and utility locating techniques. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely using appropriate manual handling techniques and ladder use when necessary. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions on construction sites or utility projects. Knowledge of safety protocols related to high voltage/low voltage environments and water system operations. Competence with hand tools, voltmeters, fiber splicing equipment, welding tools, and other maintenance devices. Valid commercial truck driving license with experience operating large vehicles in a construction or utility setting. Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. Willingness to participate in on-call shifts for emergency response coverage related to sewer or utility issues.
