Description:
The Print & Packaging Lead shall act as support staff to the production supervisor concerning the daily safety, quality, and efficiency needs of the department. In the absence of the production supervisor the lead will directly supervise 35-50 employees throughout the print & packaging department while carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply and enforce all applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices. Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees. Support supervision in the planning, assigning, and directing of work. Contribute to the rewarding and disciplining of employees, as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems. Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding, packaging, etc. Maintain proper documentation in all record keeping formats. Provide and maintain a positive team work environment. Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed. Punctuality and regular attendance for assigned work hours. Backfill to other positions as needed.
