CAD / Product Designer - Off-Road Fabrication Saints Offroad Glendora, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $18 - $30 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Press brake machine Mechanical design Design for manufacturability (DFM) Welding Sheet metal CNC Full Job Description Role Summary Saints MFG is seeking a CAD / Product Designer to dramatically accelerate our product development pipeline. This role is focused on turning concepts into manufacturable steel products fast . You will work alongside our Lead Engineer and fabrication team to design off-road bumpers, armor, racks, and accessories that move from screen → plasma → weld table → market quickly. Core ResponsibilitiesCAD Design & Modeling Create and revise 3D CAD models for off-road bumpers and accessories Develop flat patterns, cut files, and DXFs for laser/plasma cutting Maintain design templates and modular component libraries Execute design revisions based on prototype and shop feedback Manufacturing Support Design parts specifically for fabrication efficiency (bend radius, weld access, fixture compatibility) Prepare files for CNC plasma / laser / press brake Collaborate directly with welders and fabricators to resolve fitment issues Update designs quickly after test fits and real-world feedback Product Development Workflow Support rapid prototype-first development Track design versions and changes Assist with BOM creation and part numbering Prepare design files for product release What This Role Is NOT Not a purely theoretical engineering role Not responsible for structural certification or load analysis Not a marketing or graphics position Not a slow, perfection-driven environment Speed, iteration, and manufacturability matter more than perfect CAD aesthetics. Required Skills & Experience Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar CAD software Experience creating sheet metal parts and flat patterns Understanding of welding, bending, and fabrication constraints Ability to take rough concepts and turn them into manufacturable designs Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience with off-road, automotive, or motorsports fabrication Familiarity with vehicle mounting systems and tolerances Experience preparing files for CNC plasma/laser cutting Previous work with bumpers, armor, racks, or similar products Key Traits We're Looking For Practical, hands-on mindset Fast turnaround and comfort with iteration Ability to take feedback without ego Organized and detail-oriented with files and versions Willingness to walk into the shop and talk to fabricators
