This role is responsible for managing the trim room leads, buck workflow, and final product packaging workflow, while also handling key HR functions across the company, including hiring, onboarding, employee documentation, coaching, corrective actions, and employee relations support. This is a fast-paced, high-accountability, high-demand role. Needs change daily. Staffing changes, harvest volume, quality issues, inventory movement, and order priorities can all shift quickly throughout the day. This person must be able to think on their feet, make sound decisions quickly, stay organized under pressure, and communicate changes clearly and promptly. This role also requires early-morning responsiveness. Calls may begin as early as 5:30 AM, and this person must be prepared to assess call-outs, reprioritize labor, adjust workflow, and make immediate execution decisions for the day. The right candidate is truly fluent in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets, and can work confidently in schedules, trackers, formulas, reports, logs, and live operational documents throughout the day. This is not a role for someone with only basic computer skills. We need someone with real technical fluency, strong data analytics capability, excellent SOP discipline, and superior communication skills. For the HR side of this role, candidates must also have a strong working knowledge of California employment laws and be able to apply that knowledge appropriately in hiring, onboarding, documentation, coaching, corrective actions, and employee relations. Applicants should be comfortable operating in a high-urgency environment where responsiveness, follow-through, organization, and sound judgment are essential. ResponsibilitiesPost-Harvest Operations Management Lead daily execution across post-harvest operations, including the trim room, buck workflow, and final product packaging. Build and adjust daily and weekly workflow plans to maintain throughput, quality, and on-time readiness for fulfillment. Coordinate staffing, workflow priorities, handoffs, and timing across trim, buck, and packaging. Make real-time operational decisions when the day changes due to call-outs, harvest fluctuations, bottlenecks, quality issues, or shifting priorities. Ensure each area has the labor, tools, supplies, labels, and documentation needed to execute effectively. Forecasting, Demand Planning & Schedule Management Own daily, weekly, and monthly forecasting for post-harvest workflow, labor needs, inventory movement, and order readiness. Translate forecasts into clear operating plans and make rapid adjustments throughout the day as needs change. Support demand planning and help ensure finished product readiness aligns with weekly fulfillment goals. Communicate workflow changes, schedule updates, and priority shifts clearly and promptly to relevant teams and leadership. Monitor progress throughout the day and continuously adjust plans to keep operations moving. Inventory, Reporting & Data Management Maintain accurate inventory tracking and clean product handoffs across post-harvest stages. Reconcile inventory data, investigate discrepancies, and ensure labels, logs, trackers, and supporting documentation are complete and accurate. Build and maintain operational trackers, forecasting sheets, schedules, dashboards, and reporting tools in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets. Provide timely operational updates on output, workflow changes, inventory position, labor impact, and risks, including multiple updates per day when needed. Support leadership with organized, accurate, and actionable reporting. Company-Wide HR Support Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, training, and employee follow-up across the company. Help manage attendance documentation, coaching, corrective actions, employee relations issues, and general employee accountability. Maintain organized, timely, and accurate employee documentation. Support consistent policy application, workplace communication, and accountability standards. Apply sound judgment and strong working knowledge of California employment laws in day-to-day HR processes and documentation. Quality Control, SOPs & Continuous Improvement Oversee quality standards across trim, buck, and packaging to ensure consistency, contamination prevention, and product readiness. Maintain and improve SOPs, training materials, and process controls. Use data analytics to identify inefficiencies, recurring errors, and workflow improvement opportunities. Lead corrective follow-up when quality or process issues arise. Help create a disciplined, organized, responsive, and high-accountability operating environment. Systems, AI & Automation Use data analytics to support planning accuracy, labor efficiency, and operational decision-making. Evaluate and implement AI/automation tools where appropriate to reduce manual data entry, improve accuracy, and streamline reporting, using documented controls and approvals to protect compliance and data integrity. Continuously improve trackers, workflows, visibility systems, and reporting processes to support a faster and more effective operation. What We're Looking For Strong cannabis operations experience is a must, especially in post-harvest environments. Proven experience managing trim room operations, buck workflow, packaging workflow, scheduling, and quality control. Proven ability to develop daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts and make fast, accurate adjustments as conditions change. Strong inventory management experience, including tracking, reconciliation, discrepancy follow-up, and support for demand planning. High fluency in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets. Candidates must be able to work confidently in trackers, formulas, schedules, logs, and reports with speed and accuracy. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to guide decisions, identify issues, and improve workflows. Strong SOP discipline and experience building, maintaining, or improving operational processes. Superior communication skills with the ability to provide prompt updates and coordinate clearly across teams in a fast-moving environment. Highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and able to follow through consistently. Comfortable making quick decisions in a demanding environment where priorities can shift early and often. HR experience including hiring, onboarding, employee documentation, coaching, corrective actions, and employee accountability. Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and ability to apply them appropriately in day-to-day HR support. Comfortable with compliance documentation and audit readiness; working knowledge of METRC is a plus. Important Notes About This Role This is not a low-pressure administrative role. This is a hands-on, high-accountability operations role in a demanding, fast-moving environment. Daily priorities can shift quickly, and this person must be able to pivot, reprioritize, and communicate in real time. This role requires early-morning responsiveness, and calls may begin as early as 5:30 AM. Strong computer skills means real working proficiency, especially in Google Sheets and live operational tracking, not basic familiarity. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable with early-morning operational decision-making, a high-urgency environment, and frequent same-day changes. Nice to Have Experience with dashboards, advanced Google Sheets, Apps Script, Zapier, Make, or similar automation tools. Experience evaluating or implementing AI tools to improve operational reporting and efficiency. Continuous improvement experience including process mapping, root cause analysis, and workflow optimization. Experience in highly dynamic production environments requiring frequent schedule and labor adjustments.

Submit your resume and a brief note describing: 1. Your experience managing post-harvest operations, including trim, buck, packaging, and inventory flow. 2. Your experience with forecasting, scheduling, and making same-day operational adjustments in a fast-changing environment. 3. Your level of proficiency with Google Sheets, including the types of trackers, reports, dashboards, or formulas you've built and maintained. 4. Your HR experience, including hiring, onboarding, employee documentation, coaching, corrective actions, and employee relations support. 5. Your experience applying California employment laws in an HR or management role. 6. One example of how you improved an operation through data analysis, SOP improvement, automation, or stronger workflow management. Candidates may be asked to complete a practical Google Sheets assessment and a scenario-based operations assessment during the interview process.
