Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Welding Inspector to join our team at Mid-Park Inc.

This role is essential for maintaining our high standards across our fabrication process. The CWI will be responsible for conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with industry standards on our highway safety steel and aluminum products. Duties Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of welded components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers for in process inspections, coating inspections, and final inspection. Verify welding procedures and materials meet standards for industry-specific quality systems. Perform weld inspections in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) codes and other relevant standards to ensure weld integrity and safety. Document inspection results accurately through detailed reports and data collection processes; utilize analysis skills to identify root causes of defects. Coordinate with manufacturing teams to address non-conformances promptly and implement corrective actions aligned with quality management system. Participate in quality audits, review welding procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality assurance framework. Assist in training team members on welding standards, inspection techniques, and safety practices. Qualifications Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from AWS or equivalent recognized body. Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on quality control and inspection. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems. Excellent analysis skills for identifying defects or deviations during inspections; ability to perform quality audits effectively. Problem Solving Process Auditing Required Education and Experience High School Diploma Required Training or experience, or both, in metal fabrication, inspection and testing, is competent to perform inspection of the work. Minimum of 5 years steel fabrication experience or training.
