Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Die Setter for Metal Stamping to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our Mid-Park Inc. - Highway Division. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining stamping dies on presses to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production runs while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to the manufacturing of high-quality metal products. Duties Set up and install stamping dies on various presses, including stamping presses of different tonnages Adjust die components to ensure proper alignment and operation using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency Conduct routine inspections of dies and tooling for wear or damage, performing maintenance or replacements as needed Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate die setup Operate hand tools, fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters, CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and electrical discharge machining tools for die preparation or repairs Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures and properly handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts Requirements Proven experience as a Die Setter or in a similar role within metal stamping or manufacturing environments Strong mechanical knowledge of stamping presses, tooling, and fabrication processes Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with GD&T standards is preferred Skilled in using precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and other quality inspection instruments Knowledge of CNC programming and operation is a plus Experience with welding, electrical discharge machining, plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and sheet metal fabrication techniques is highly desirable Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely; certification preferred but not required Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for die setup and adjustments Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance during production runs Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently Join our team to be part of a thriving manufacturing environment where your skills directly contribute to producing top-tier metal components. $20.00 - $29.09 per hour
