Learn more about our work here: https://www.outervillagesf.com Position Summary We're looking for a dependable and proactive Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our retail space. This person will serve as a key holder, ensure smooth day-to-day function, and help create a welcoming, organized, and mission-aligned experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities Open and close the store independently Greet and assist customers with a high level of empathy and attunement Manage POS transactions and refunds via Ricochet Oversee consignment intake and inventory processes Keep the shop tidy, organized, and visually appealing Perform light cleaning and plant care as needed Coordinate with owner on scheduling, promotions, and restocks Maintain basic back-office tasks and logs Communicate customer feedback and issues promptly Ideal Candidate Connection to the local community and very comfortable interacting with diverse children and families at all stages of parenthood Strong organization skills Confident working solo and taking initiative Warm, personable, and aligned with our values Previous retail, keyholder, or management experience preferred Familiar with Ricochet or other POS systems (or quick to learn) Passionate about sustainability, parenting, or community care Perks Meaningful work in a family-centered environment Room to grow with a purpose-driven small business Autonomy, creativity, and a beautiful space to work in
