Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students in an elementary school environment. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a difference throughout the academic year, providing dedicated assistance to teachers and young learners as a paraprofessional. You'll work at a welcoming school setting, engaging with diverse student needs and collaborating closely with educators dedicated to student success. What you'll need: Valid GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification (candidates currently applying may be interviewed, but certification must be secured prior to the assignment start date) Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting strongly preferred Adaptability and professionalism in a school environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students and staff A passion for contributing to student growth and classroom achievement Key responsibilities: Providing instructional support to teachers in classroom activities and lesson implementation Assisting students individually or in small groups, adapting support to varying academic and behavioral needs Preparing classroom materials and resources as needed Monitoring student behavior and helping establish a positive, safe learning environment Collaborating with instructional staff and participating in meetings or training sessions as required Maintaining confidentiality and upholding school policies at all times Perks of the position: Consistent, full-time hours throughout the school year Opportunity to gain valuable experience in an educational setting The chance to positively impact students' academic journeys Embark on a meaningful path supporting teachers and students alike.
