Qualifications & Desired Experience:

GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification (preferred); candidates without certification will be considered, but completion is required before the start date. Previous experience in educational or special needs settings preferred. Flexibility, patience, and a collaborative approach are essential. Ability to complete onsite district fingerprinting before starting. Strong commitment to student well-being and success.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Assignment 1: Support a Regular Education PreK classroom (approx. 17 students) alongside a teacher and another paraprofessional. Provide additional assistance to students with IEPs and special needs, adapting to varying student abilities. Assignment 2: Serve in a Special Education Pre-K classroom (ages 3-5, approx. 4-7 per session), where many students are non-verbal, not yet toilet-trained, and may display behavioral challenges. Assist students who attend varying session lengths, helping them adjust and prepare for transition to higher grade levels. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
