This contract position offers a dynamic work environment with a variety of schedules and the chance to utilize your expertise in clinical pharmacy practices.

Location:

Alexandria, LA Schedule/Hours:

4 - 10-hour shifts per week Rotating schedule, which may include shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM Every other weekend coverage

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct order verification to ensure accurate and safe medication dispensing Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient medication therapy Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize drug therapy Utilize healthcare information technologies, including EPIC and Pyxis systems

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active pharmacist license in the relevant state(s) Experience working in a hospital clinical pharmacy setting Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare team members Ability to manage diverse and rotating work schedules This is a 13-week contract opportunity with an ASAP start date, ideal for a clinical pharmacist who thrives in fast-paced hospital environments and is comfortable working varied shifts including weekends.
