Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented CNC Machinist Supervisor to lead our machining team. In this role, you will oversee the setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines—including lathes and milling machines—while ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications. Your leadership will drive efficiency, precision, and continuous improvement within our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily operations of CNC machining activities, including programming, setup, and production. Lead a team of CNC machinists, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing work environment. Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAM software and ensure compatibility with Fanuc controls on CNC lathe and milling machines. Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure precise manufacturing. Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Maintain tooling inventories, troubleshoot machining issues, and implement lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity. Enforce safety protocols related to machine operation, electrical discharge machining (EDM), welding, plastics injection molding equipment, and power tools. Experience with Visual/ERP systems Managing Employee Behaviors ensuring compliance with Safety guidelines and Organizational Policies. Requirements Proven experience supervising CNC machining operations in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code; experience with CAM programming is highly desirable. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings; understanding GD&T principles is essential. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes including CNC lathe and mill operations. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), welding techniques, plastics injection molding processes, and assembly procedures. Experience operating precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards for quality and safety standards such as lean manufacturing practices.
