MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Create a culture of exceptional customer service and ensure the entire team is trained to deliver a great customer experience. Make the store your own! Take ownership of its day-to-day success, help drive sales, and create happy, loyal customers. Maintain an attractive, organized, and welcoming store, including keeping merchandise neat, stocked, and well displayed. Maintain positive employee relations and open lines of communication with the team. Communicate with the General Manager and owners regarding employee coaching, performance, and conflict resolution. Ensure inventory is received accurately and promptly in the POS system. Monitor inventory movement and help identify products that need to be restocked, marked down, transferred, or returned. Lead by example. Be willing to do everything you would ask another team member to do, including cleaning, vacuuming, taking out the trash, and helping wherever needed.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
Retail experience. Experience with POS systems, inventory entry, and credit card processing. Ability to lead and develop staff through training, coaching, feedback, and support. Knowledge of retail operations, including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention. Strong communication skills and a positive, outgoing personality. Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and work independently. Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including most weekends and some holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods, frequently kneel or squat, occasionally climb ladders, regularly lift up to 20 lbs., and occasionally push or pull up to 50 lbs.
