Customer Service Manager Waterloo, IA $55,000 to $70,000 per year, plus bonus A company is hiring a Customer Service Manager to oversee its Customer Service department, leading a team focused on growing load volume while ensuring a high level of customer service that supports the company's continued growth and stability. This role applies sound marketing and customer service principles to develop and support customers in line with company and department quality, sales, utilization, and profit objectives, serving as the key liaison between customers and the organization. Schedule Full time. Compensation $55,000 to $70,000 per year, plus bonus, based on experience. What You'll Do This role leads load volume growth by developing the CSR team around a "book the load" mindset and consistent, proactive communication, and shepherds new business into production by building buy-in with Operations stakeholders. The manager develops the CSR team to build customer relationships, capture awarded load volume, and offer pricing and capacity solutions that help customers hit their targets and increase overall load volume. The role finds and implements solutions to improve service and coverage of booked loads, knowing when to escalate loads that need attention, and coordinates the transition of customer accounts from the sales team to the customer service team. The Customer Service Manager drives service and relationship accountability through the production teams, takes ownership of customer satisfaction issues, and follows up until problems are resolved. The role tracks high-priority loads and lanes, escalating delays or problem areas as needed, and builds and maintains senior-level relationships with customers. The manager mentors and develops customer service reps, researches industry developments to recommend best practices, and analyzes data and reports to identify network trends and opportunities for improvement and efficiency. The role stays focused on monthly company goals, holds the team accountable while maintaining a positive and motivated culture, and creates action plans to address service failure trends.
