This position serves as the hub of the service department; coordinating communication between customers, technicians, and the office to keep daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving scheduling challenges, and will confidently manage multiple priorities. Success in this role comes from thinking ahead - planning efficient technician routes, prioritizing service calls, and adapting quickly as schedules change throughout the day. This is an on-site, temporary to hire role that offers $19 - $21/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate service appointments based on customer needs, technician availability and experience, job urgency, and geographic efficiency. Review open work orders to proactively plan technician routes and maximize productivity. Adjust schedules throughout the day to accommodate emergencies, delays, and changing priorities. Create, update, and close work orders while maintaining accurate documentation. Communicate regularly with technicians regarding schedules, parts, and job updates. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates and resolving concerns professionally. Coordinate the ordering and tracking of parts and supplies. Maintain accurate customer records and support the overall efficiency of the service department.Required Skills and Qualifications:
2+ years of customer service, dispatch, logistics, or service coordination experience. Experience with technician scheduling and route planning. Experience using QuickBooks and/or Square, CRM software, Microsoft Teams, and standard office applications. Geographic knowledge of the local service area is an asset but not required. The ability to learn the service territory and develop efficient technician routes is essential. Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
